Gritty, modern death/thrash with a touch of experimental metal. Brutal vocals and technical guitars and rhythm sections, this is pretty much what every deathcore band miserably fails to achieve. This is their only record, hopefully they will get to record more. Enjoy.

Rammer manage to pull off an awesome sound despite the production on this debut. Thrashy, groovy, melodic but not too generic, a purely balanced sound that doesn't get boring or go over the top. The vocals sound something like later Schmier/Angelripper. This is very solid, give it a listen.

All of Razor's discography, including all 8 full lengths is very good to excellent thrash. Shotgun Justice is just what I thought would be the best taste of this amazing Canadian outfit. Each and every song have several riffs that make you wonder how thrash guitarists manage to write such greatness. Lots of energy, speed and aggressiveness. Razor up your ass!!

Sons of Otis - Exiled (2009)

Off the top of my head, this is about the best stoner doom metal I've heard this year so far. This is really heavy and slow, and should bring one into a trancelike bliss and then invigorate with awesomeness. Enjoy

Track Listing:

1.	Haters	10:34
2.	Lost Soul	06:36
3.	Bad Man	05:03
4.	Oxazejam	09:56
5.	Tales Of Otis	09:03

Neuraxis - The Thin Line Between (2008)

1) Darkness Prevails
2) Wicked
3) Versus
4) Deviation Occurs
5) The Thin Line Between
6) Dreaming the End
7) Standing Despite...
8) Oracle
9) Phoenix
10) The All and the Nothing

I'm not the biggest fan of tech death (aside from Arsis and Brain Drill) you'll meet, but I loved this album. Hell, I would even put it on the Best of 2008 list! The riffs are great, the drumming doesn't go overboard on double bass and blasting, the vocals mix with the rest of the instruments...What else can I say about this album?

The Thin Line Between is the only Neuraxis album I've listened to so far, but that's about to change.
